Maintenance padel courts

Maintenance padel courts

Within a tennis club it is important to keep everything looking top notch. Damage around the tracks is therefore very annoying and can significantly reduce or even limit the enjoyment of sports. By having periodic maintenance performed, the track remains in top condition and damage can be determined in time. We are happy to help!

Padel is an upcoming racket sport that is played by more and more people. That is why more tennis associations are getting one or more padel courts. Proper maintenance of the padel courts largely determines the lifespan and also the quality of the game. Therefore, it is not only the maintenance of the track itself that is important. The steel construction of padel courts mainly consists of hot-dip galvanized steel with a powder coating. This also needs maintenance!

Why is maintenance necessary?

Maintenance is necessary to keep the track's steel in top condition. The steel is protected by a powder coating. Many tennis and padel courts are largely outdoors. Maintenance is especially important when the padel courts are located in a corrosive environment, such as near the sea or in an industrial area. If the coating is maintained moderately here, the risk of rusting increases. This is how it works: During a periodic check, the metal surface is not only cleaned, we also check for weak spots and possible damage. A weak spot in the coating can cause water and dirt caused by weather influences to accumulate here. This combination with oxygen creates the well-known brown rust. This does not look nice and ensures that the metal is no longer optimally protected. If left untreated, the object can even rust through and completely decay. So make sure  periodic maintenance is performed.

Examples of problems that can arise from poor maintenance

Problems we can solve are:

✓ Detachment of the (powder) coating on the (galvanized) steel;

✓ Removing/smoothing zinc and then repairing the coating;

✓ Repairing damage to the coating due to installation;

✓ After installation of the padel court, we can make bolts and other materials in the same color;

✓ Removing surface contamination.

The advantage of periodic maintenance:

✓ Because the metal surface is cleaned periodically, it remains strong and the coating retains its protective value;

✓ A beautiful view. The entire padel court looks sleek. Not only nicer to exercise on, but this also has a positive effect on the image of the association from the outside;

✓ Damage is determined in time and can be repaired in consultation;

Warranty retention;

✓ Your association saves money on repair costs;

✓ More sports fun!

Cost saving

Prevention is better than cure. By having periodic maintenance carried out, the tennis club saves a lot of costs for poorly executed repairs. Not only costs are a big advantage, but also time savings. Because maintenance is performed periodically for your association, you do not have to worry about this. Plus, you don't have to look for replacement products. Due to the use of thorough maintenance, the lifespan of the padel courts of the association is considerably extended. This allows all members to enjoy the sport to the fullest.
