Privacy Statement of NESTcoat BV (version effective from October 2021) / Websites Disclaimer

NESTcoat BV, also trading under the trade names of NESTcoat Prepare BV and NESTcoat Repair BV, is the provider of the websites, , and (hereinafter also referred to as: websites) and maintains the websites as well as the social-media channels Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. All digital information sources have been created under the responsibility of NESTcoat BV (hereinafter also referred to as: NESTcoat), registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 66524431, NESTcoat Prepare BV (Chamber of Commerce: 66525063) and NESTcoat Repair BV (Chamber of Commerce: 66525098). This privacy statement explains how NESTcoat collects personal data on the websites as well as offline and how we use such data. 

Please read this privacy statement carefully. This way, you will be able to decide whether you wish to consent to the use of your personal data by NESTcoat. NESTcoat collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and will not process your personal data without your consent.
NESTcoat provides a wide range of information with regard to inspection, maintenance, repair, restyling, renovation, surface treatments and coatings on its websites. All of this information relates to the treatment and preservation of metals, including, in general, the methods and techniques used in the performance of its activities, for both business and private customers. 


In general, we collect information about you when you contact us offline or online. If you provide your personal data via NESTcoat, we will store your personal data (name, address, telephone number, e-mail, country of residence, preferred language) in order to process an enquiry and to send you communications from time to time, if you have subscribed to our newsletter. 

These are the main purposes of the data collection during the first contact. If the initial contact does not result in any purchases by you of services and/or products from NESTcoat, your personal data will be deleted from our systems after 12 months. 


Should an initial contact result in an order for NESTcoat to provide services, you may be asked for additional personal data, depending on the content of the service. NESTcoat will only process such personal data with respect to the service provided and will never share it with third parties, unless this is for the purpose of providing the service. In any event, any such sharing shall be subject to the duty of confidentiality imposed on any third party who should have access to the personal data for the purposes of the proper provision of services by NESTcoat.


All personal data provided by you (first contact, follow-up contact/order) will only be processed with your permission or in order to execute the service agreement concluded with you. With respect to the order, explicit permission will be requested from you for the processing of any other personal data, also in combination with sources other than you.


All personal data provided by you (first contact, follow-up contact/order) are processed within NESTcoat only by staff members who have agreed to confidentiality before processing personal data within NESTcoat.

Confidentiality is imposed on all third parties outside NESTcoat who need to have access to personal data for the purpose of proper service provision by NESTcoat.

NESTcoat is thereby a controller (i.e. an organisation responsible for processing personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation) with regard to all data that NESTcoat collects and receives about you when you use our services. NESTcoat is bound by, and will use your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, which was introduced on 25 May 2018. 


  1. Personal data 

We collect your data in different ways:

a. Directly from you.
As a result of a first contact or a follow-up contact/order, we ask you to provide us with your personal data. You can also provide us with your personal data if you post a reaction on the website, fill out the information form or quotation form and ask us a question, email us or contact NESTcoat in any other way, for example via our social-media channels Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.

b. Through your use of our websites and social media on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.
You can view and use our websites using a
computer, telephone, tablet or other device. We use tracking tools such as browser cookies and web beacons on our websites to collect information about your usage. You may also leave personal data on our social-media channels. These will be treated in exactly the same way as personal data provided through the websites or offline. 

PLEASE NOTE: For example, if you choose to use an integrated social-media function on our websites, the site of this social-media channel will provide us with certain statistical data about this post, which we use to improve our social-media channels. 

c. From third parties.

With respect to a follow-up contact/order, we will consult sources (e.g. the Land Registry or the Chamber of Commerce) in order to perform our services. With respect to this, we may receive additional personal data from you, which we will process exclusively under the services provided. 


  1. Data that we may keep about you
    We will keep the contact details you provide (name, address, telephone number, e-mail) after an initial contact. 

With respect to an order, we will store the personal data - depending on the content of the service - if a follow-up contact is made or an order for services is placed. You will be asked separately for this when an order is placed. You can refuse to provide certain personal details at any time. 


More specifically, we save:

  1. Your contact and account information.
    We store the contact data you provide (e.g. name, address, telephone number, e-mail, country of residence, preferred language).

  2. Your payment and invoice details. In order to process an order, we may save the payment and invoice details provided by you.

  3. Information posted by you online.
    For example, we may retain information that you have posted using our websites
    or on external social media to which we have access (such as reviews or posts by you). When posting information online, the rights of others must not be infringed (including the right to privacy) and you should be aware that others may use, tag and/or republish your information in ways you would not expect (including in ways that are unlawful). 

You understand that we may use and repost your data publicly posted online on social-media channels. However, when using the websites, NESTcoat cannot bear any responsibility for the further use by the third parties of your personal data if you interact with these social-media channels or otherwise share your personal data directly with these third parties.

  1. We may use your data in the following ways and for the following purposes

a. To provide you with products, services, account information and support.
We use your information to answer your questions or requests for cooperation if you have placed an order with us. 

We may use your data to confirm your registration and deliver your ordered product or service.

b. To send you messages in connection with the (intended) provision of services.
For example, we can send you an e-mail about your account or the (intended) order or send you messages about the execution of the agreement between us. For example, we may send you a reminder if you wanted to use our services but have not actually placed an order yet.

c. To identify trends and interests.
We use your data to know what your preferences might be, so that we can improve our offer to you and so that your experience with us is better targeted and personalised.

d. To monitor and improve our products, services, websites and socials.
We analyse your data to improve our understanding of you and our customer base in general. We do this to make better decisions about our services, any advertising, products and content on websites or social-media channels, based on a better-informed picture of how our customers use our current services and products, and to make your experience with us more personalised.

e. If you have signed up for a newsletter from us.

If you have subscribed to the newsletter via the websites or socials, we may send you newsletters.

Once you have provided us with your personal data, we may also ask you later for permission to collect, process or use personal data for specific purposes.

To stop receiving emails or newsletters, follow the instructions in any email or mail received at  Even if you unsubscribe from receiving messages, we will still send you transactional messages. This allows us to still contact you about the services you have requested. 

b. You may request that we provide you with access to the data we have stored about you. You may also request us, through private contact, to adjust the data or to remove your personal data completely. In case an order was placed by you, which is being processed by us and has not yet ended and where we still have to provide services or send invoices for example, it is not possible to amend or completely remove your personal data.

  1. We may share your data with the following third parties

a. Within NESTcoat We may share any of your data within NESTcoat with any of the parties involved within those organisations for any of the purposes set out in this statement, but not for any other purposes unless you have given your express consent. 

b. Third parties
We will only share your information with a third party other than those listed under a. if you have given your explicit consent. They may be able to assist you in providing the services you have agreed with NESTcoat. Third parties are not permitted to use personal data for any purpose other than the provision of services agreed with you and for which NESTcoat will provide the personal data to the third party. If they wish to use your personal data for purposes other than those described in this privacy statement, your express consent must be obtained. These obligations are explicitly imposed on third parties engaged by NESTcoat.

c. If we believe it is necessary to comply with laws and regulations or for our protection or that of third parties.
To the extent permitted by law, we may also share data at the request of a government agency or other competent authority or organisation in order to protect or enforce our rights or those of a third party or to detect and prevent fraud and other criminal offences.

We use standard security measures. We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. The standard security measures we use depend on the nature of the data collected. Please note that the internet is not 100% secure. PLEASE NOTE: If you withdraw your consent when you have placed an order with us, the deletion of personal data can only take place after the order has been carried out. If we have an order relationship with you, which has not yet ended and where we still have to provide services or send invoices, for example, it is not possible to amend or completely remove your personal data.

Only functional cookies are used via our websites. No cookies that process personal data are used via the websites. Below we explain what cookies are, what they do and why.

What do cookies do?

If information included on is also provided in writing, the written version shall prevail in the event of differences in text. NESTcoat does not guarantee that e-mails or other electronic messages sent to NESTcoat will be received and processed on time and accepts no liability for the consequences of non-receipt, late receipt or processing.
