Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - mast markings

The project

Schiphol Airport is the largest airport in the Netherlands. The airport is home to the Dutch airlines KLM, Martinair, Corendon, TUI and Transavia. Schiphol opened in 1916 as a military airport. After 4 years, KLM flew a regular service there for the first time. In the following years, the airport expanded considerably and could therefore handle more capacity. Schiphol now has 6 runways and more than 70,000 passengers annually.

Our contribution

In order to continue to guarantee safety and to contribute to Schiphol's expansion plans, NESTcoat was called in to provide the masts in and around the runways with a new look. The new masts were installed in the basic color and then we provided them with red and white markings on site. These clearly visible masts contribute to the safe guidance of air traffic.

About us

We are NESTcoat, specialists in surface treatment of metals. We work on the aesthetic and functional protection of metal products at production plants, but we also provide our service on location of the customer. This means we often visit building sights, infrastructural projects, living accommodations and many other places.

We operate from within the Netherlands and often provide our service in neighboring countries.
