Central Station - The Hague - escape stairs

The project

The Hague Central Station was renovated between 2010 and 2016. The main reason for this was the growing number of travelers. This number had increased to 250,000 per day. The renovated station is prepared for this because, among other things, there is an entrance/exit on four sides of the station. The new appearance of the station is characterized by many metal constructions with a white coating.

Our contribution

This escape staircase is also located at The Hague Central Station. The renovation service of NESTcoat was necessary to optimize the conservation of this staircase. Our goal was to restore the entire conservation functionally and aesthetically and to hinder travelers as little as possible during our work. The staircase now not only looks good again, but is also better protected against corrosion. The restored coating improves the station's appearance and contributes to safety for the users of the stairs.

About us
