Characteristic

The very first art depot in the world is unique not only because of its function, but also because of its design. The facade, designed by Architect Winy Maas, consists of 6.609 m2 of reflective glass and thus reflects the environment of the existing Museum Park.

The project

The Boijmans van Beuningen depot is located in Rotterdam. This is the first art depot in the world that offers access to an art collection without an administrator. Unlike a museum, no exhibitions are made here. Visitors can walk along the art independently or with a guide, watch along with restoration, conservation or research. To protect the art, it is placed in large display cases. The striking mirrored building was designed by the Rotterdam architectural firm MVRDV. BAM completed the construction of this 40-metre-high building in 2018. More information about the art depot? Then view this website.

Our contribution

NESTcoat has ensured that the coating of these display cases is neatly finished. This way the display cases look nice for visitors who want to view the art. In this way we contribute to an aesthetic appearance that suits a museum.
