In the outskirts of Fluitenberg in the municipality of Hoogeveen (the, Netherlands), NEO Energie started the realization of a second solar park in this area in 2018. No fewer than 22,800 solar panels will be installed in this park, which can supply 2,700 households with electricity when the Oosterveld solar park is commissioned. During the realization of this project, great attention is paid to the environment. Residents at this location experience as little hindrance as possible from the park, which can be shielded by vegetation. Local residents are also involved in the future maintenance of flora and fauna. For example, the objective is to use sheep for grazing the site.
The construction under the solar panels is hot-dip galvanized. The zinc provides good protection against harmful external influences. Upon arrival of the construction, several damage appeared to be present. By repairing the zinc layer on site in accordance with NEN EN ISO 1461, we ensure that the construction is protected against corrosion. This allows the solar panels to function optimally for as long as possible.
